U3A member Felicity Arnott took us on a trip around Croatia at the January Travellers’ Tales meeting, held in the Javea Players Studio.
Her trip with husband Bob involved a self-drive tour covering the lesser-known area to tourists: Istria, Plitvice Lakes and the coast down to Zadar.
Felicity illustrated her talk with photos taken on her holiday, which indeed underlined her summary of a country with “beautiful countryside, gorgeous scenery and islands, reasonably priced and lovely people … what’s not to like!”
The presentation brought back memories for other U3A members who had visited Croatia, including group leaders Angela and Tony, who presented Felicity with a gift in recognition of her excellent talk.
