Over 22 members enjoyed an excellent presentation of a journey by an ancient sightseer around the Seven Wonders that were created in various countries around the eastern end of the Mediterranean sea.
We saw the Colossus of Rhodes astride the harbour entrance or maybe he was standing to the side, no one’s really sure! We visited the Pyramids at Giza that are still standing to this day and learned that American scientists think that not only were they tombs but also machines for sending messages into outer space – believe that if you like!
