Standing room only at the U3A Jávea Coffee morning

On Wednesday more than 60 members enjoyed a coffee and slice of cake at the Centro Social in Jávea Old Town. It was a lovely opportunity to chat with friends and to ask questions about U3A Jávea activities.

Project4all

Attendees heard an interesting and inspiring talk from John Collinson and Debra Griggs of Project4all (www.project4all.org). They explained how the project is helping people sleeping on the streets in Jávea and the Marina Alta with hot food, clothes, blankets and even somewhere to rest their heads.

As one of our chosen charities, we took up a collection. The generosity of our members is well known and Project4all were overwhelmed to receive €310: money which will all go to help homeless people in this area.

New Members!

We were delighted to see new members join us. Even the 4 legged variety! Meet Toni (Westerholm) who loved talking to everyone in the room.

Vincent Van Gogh lecture at Marina Alta Arts Society

Finally, one of our long standing members, Tony Cabban, informed everyone of an exciting event at the Marina Alta Arts Society. On 6th March, Anthony Russell will give a lecture entitled “Vincent Van Gogh: Madman or Genius”: more details can be found here (www.artsocma.org).
