Heather Hopson and Lorna James organised the tournament and there were 16 mixed double pairs, 32 players in all.
The winning pair were Jackie Hathaway and Stephen Burke who beat Wendy Ranger and John Stephens in the final. Food (paellas cooked by Carmen) and drinks (beer & soft drinks served by Pearlie) were available to all.
The money collected will go to the Aspadis Hospice for physically and mentally handicapped people in Valencia, a charity which Liz supported. Many U3A Jávea members played/supported this excellent tournament and huge thanks go to Lorna and Heather for organising it.
