Nothing stops our intrepid band of musicians from entertaining themselves and others during lockdown.
Some members of the U3A Jávea Not Just Folk Music group (NJFM) have also been busy during the current lockdown.
For those missing the NJFM evenings several musicians decided to collaborate electronically from our separate homes to create the following two video songs, “Sister Rosetta” and “Delilah”. Sister Rosetta was written by Sam Phillips and popularised by Robert Plant & Alison Kraus on their 2008 album “Raising Sand”.
Delilah was performed by Tom Jones and a rock version was performed by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Peter Allin performed the drum track in the songs using a virtual electronic drum kit courtesy of Apple’s GarageBand app and the other musicians recorded their pieces on GarageBand using the actual musical instruments.
