Well its that time again to scribe a few notes for this month’s meeting.
A great turnout considering several staunch members are unfortunately poorly or otherwise hosting family. Our thoughts and regards are sent to you all.
It was Sue and Richard Rogers turn to enlighten the group on their selected organic wines from the Valencia DO. A blush rose: Pasión de Bobal, followed by two whites: Caprasia and Illusiona’t, then concluding with two reds: Born to be Wild Bobal & L’alegria Bobal. All were excellent and combined extremely well with what we have to say was an excellent lunch prepared by Elizabeth and her team. Fresh Burrata and Tomato salad, Spanish Tortilla, homemade Meatballs, battered fish and fries with salsa and last but not least, home baked cheese cake with a selection of red fruits. Excellent fare with excellent libations.
Following an extremely enjoyable afternoon with plenty of banter and joviality the raffle draw was made and resulted in 5 happy winners. A certain person seems to win on a regular basis and we still don’t know how she does it ![]()
To conclude, thank you all for your continued support and remember it’s each and everyone’s group, so your thoughts and ideas are always appreciated.
