We are preparing for the children’s carers visit tomorrow morning which will be chaos but in a good way. All the childrens presents have arrived,…

Dear Member, 2025 has been another good year for U3A Javea. We celebrated our 20th anniversary with many of our Past Presidents, who have seen the organisation grow to around 1,200 members and over 45 Groups – hard to keep track of the exact numbers now! I would be looking for a date towards the end of March/early April, and advance booking would be necessary as it will be popular. At the moment I am therefore looking for definite expressions of interest. From the producers of Tutankhamun,…

Vintage Photos, Bold Journeys, and a Javea Connection Revealed
The History Group recently enjoyed a truly memorable morning with a special presentation by John Reynolds, titled “The Curious Cyclists.” What made it extraordinary wasn’t just the stunning photos and engaging storytelling, but the unexpected connection to Javea that John unveiled right at the end. Back in 1895, two young artists from Nottingham—both in their twenties—set off on an incredible adventure: cycling all the way to Gibraltar. Along the way, they kept detailed diaries, created beautiful sketches, and captured original…
