The U3A photography group (aka Shutterbugs) had a great meeting this month.
Last Friday 30 May the members met at JIBC Church Centre as per norm. We had a
good chat about what we had been enjoying photography wise during the month and
obviously the month’s project of Mobile Phone Photography. It was agreed the
project had been challenging as we all had varying ages and brands of phones,
some better than others. However, the equipment is just the tool to take the picture
you see. So much so May’s project is Mobile Photography. We then viewed and
critiqued the members photographs which were entered this month. The variety of
subject matter was great. The quality of the photographs’ varied with focus been an
issue for some. Even so, some great pictures were achieved. So, to this month’s
winner of “Photograph of the Month”. And it’s Kevin again with his wonderful black
& white image of a street scene. The cobbled road leads you into the picture from
the bottom left corner with the added bonus of a cyclist and wonderful shadows. A
picture of a moment in time. Well done Kevin.

Here are few photographs that were also entered this month.

The next project is set by last month’s winner – Kevin. “The Photo Theme I’ve
chosen for June is Architecture. There’s plenty of it around, even in Javea and
Denia, and you can get good results with a Mobile Phone. All phone apps allow
for correction of distortion and it’s relatively simple to do. I have managed to
find a couple of videos on the subject which I am sure you will all find helpful”. Happy clicking everyone.
