Forty members of the Spanish Culture & Cuisine Group enjoyed a day trip to Alaquas on Friday March 25.
On the way they visited the Regional Museum of L’Horta Sud Joseph Ferris March, situated in a 20th century farmer’s house in Torrent, which gave an insight into family life in a pre-industrial society.
Then after exploring the 16th century Castillo-Palacio de Alaquas, the party tucked into a hearty lunch at the Restaurante El Romeral, famous for its speciality paellas. Thanks to group leaders Angela Chantry and Tony Dearie for organising yet another excellent tour. Even the weather was kind to them!
