Our President Claude reached the grand old age of 70 yesterday and he celebrated in style with members of the Committee and their partners, along with some close friends at La Carniceria Bar in Javea Old Town.
Mike Frost presented a gift to mark the occasion with a nod to the leader of our friends ‘across the pond’ – a baseball cap with 13 on it since Claude is our 13th President!
We also celebrated our Treasurer’s birthday – he’s one of the youngest on the Committee at 68! He received a card with best wishes from us all.
I’m sure all U3A Jávea members will join with us to say ‘many happy returns’ to them both.
