Over recent years, we have invested a great deal of effort into making it easier for our members to pay their subscriptions or for events in different ways.
Protecting your money is also a priority for us. We recently announced that, because the balance in our bank account was occasionally over €100,000 (the limit for statutory protection in Spain), we had opened a second bank account with CAIXA Bank which would only be used for holding your deposits and payments for Travel and SC&C trips.
We have also opened a WISE multi-currency account which will make it easier and cheaper for members who only have bank accounts in the UK (or outside the Eurozone) to send payments to us electronically.
With immediate effect, here are all of the ways in which you can make payments to the U3A Jávea:

Cash Payments
You can pay it into the appropriate account at any ATM machine or ask your bank to make a transfer for you by selecting the correct account and using the details above.
Reference or Concepto – for all payments
When you make a payment your online banking app will ask you for a Reference (Concepto) or Description of the payment. This is essential for us to understand WHO (Your name) is paying and WHAT (the event, trip or subscription) they are paying for.
Without this information the Treasurer doesn’t know who to notify that you have paid and it creates a lot of unnecessary work.
Card Payments
We will still offer the ability to pay by debit or credit card. Where this facility is available, we will supply a special link on the website to our payment facility.
