| This morning, the Javea U3A History Group enjoyed the second of their two visits to the Soler Blasco Archaeological Museum, right in the heart of Javea’s Old Town. After a warm welcome from Museum Director Josep Castelló, the group was led on a fascinating journey through time by Christine Betterton Jones. Christine, a dedicated U3A member and Committee member of the Friends of Javea Museum, shared rich stories and insights as they explored the museum’s exhibits. Having actively researched the local archaeology, Christine brought history to life by showing the group artifacts from digs she’s been part of—making the past feel incredibly real. To top it off, the group was granted special access to the usually off-limits roof terrace. There, under the returning winter sun, they soaked up stunning views of Javea—a perfect end to a memorable visit.Many thanks to Cheryl Elliott for the photos |
