For a growing number of people, questions such as
- Who am I?
- Where did I come from?
- What made me the person I am today?
hold an increasing fascination. The popularity of TV programmes such as “Who do you think you are?” serve to drive this interest but for most people whilst enjoying the format of such a program it is difficult to understand how we as mere mortals could manage such a complicated and probably costly research into our own family history.
Well fear not, the 100 plus members of our Family History group exist to prove that it can be done.
Now we are venturing into exploring DNA and unknown ancestors and family members.
We are a self help group with a wide range of individual experiences. We support each other in determining answers to exactly the questions posed above.
Our meetings provide an informed and friendly environment to allow all members, irrespective of their individual experience levels to develop their own family tree.
