Looks don’t deceive in Barcelona – they’re the first insight into what makes this city so special. Ancient, Art Nouveau and everything in-between, the Catalan capital is a trove of sublime architecture. From the medieval streets of the Gothic Quarter to the surreal spires of Gaudí’s iconic Sagrada Familia in Eixample, some come for Barcelona’s breath-taking buildings alone.
The Travel Group running a 3 night trip to Barcelona to take place between 10th March and 13th March 2025.
The price of this trip is €549.00 per person sharing in a double or twin room. There will be a €199.00 single supplement. The above prices are based on 40-45 people.
The price includes:
- Return coach journey to Barcelona
- 3 nights accommodation in the four star Hotel Catalonia Park Putxet in the suburbs of the city*
- 2 days Full board and 1 day half board in the hotel*
- The services of a English speaking Local Tour guide for half a day in Barcelona and 2.5 hours in the Gothic Quarter

A brief guide to the planned itinerary
Day 1 – travel up from Jávea to Barcelona by coach. We will aim to stop briefly and meals en route are at your own expense. Once we arrive in Barcelona, you will have free time to enjoy the City.
Day 2 – Modernist Barcelona. We will travel the Gaudi route. We will begin with Paseo de Gracia to admire emblematic houses such as La Pedrera and Casa Batllo (entrance fee not included). Afterwards we move on to Sagrada Familia for a fully guided visit before taking Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon we will visit the Monastery of San Cugat dels Valles (entrance fee included) then back to hotel for dinner.
Day 3 – Continuation of Gothic Quarter. Walking with our guide we will explore alleys and squares that reflect the city’s medieval past with the Palaces, residences and Gothic style churches. We will see the exterior of Barcelona’s City Hall, the Generalitat and Barcelona Cathedral before taking lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon we travel to the fabulous Monastery at Montserrat (entrance fee and audio guide included). Dinner at the hotel in the evening.
Day 4 – Return to Javea. We will aim to stop briefly and meals en route are at your own expense.
