This year’s first Discussion group meeting will be held as usual on the last Friday of the month, the 31st of January at the Javea Centro Social. The subject is controversial and complicated, especially because of Trump’s first steps regarding social issues.

We will discuss the Woke movement, its origins, history and last decade’s development to what we know about Woke today.

There still are a lot of debates and discussions going on in academic circles as well as in media and public life

We will talk about why supporters of woke despite the well-known criticism still believe that it is an important movement in Western societies and why a lot of people are against it.
