Does travel really broaden the mind or do we simply take our preconceptions with us?

It is the topic for the Discussion Group meeting on 28 October, the last Friday of the month

One of the greatest things you can take away from travelling is being able to see the world through somebody else’s eyes – that rarely happens at home when you’re busy with your usual routine.

Have you visited a place you thought would be so different, but instead found many similarities? What are some cultures, traditions, and practices that you connect with?

Can you think of the times that travel has tested your patience and forced you to grow? What have you learned while travelling that has shaped your perspective on the world? Have your previous beliefs changed?
