Javea U3A member Bob Milner is hoping to drum up support for a night of music in aid of cancer research at Isla Bonita (formerly See Montgo) on Thursday April 28.
Bob is the drummer with local rock, blues and soul band 20/20, who will performing on the evening along with other musicians. All the artists will be donating their fees to the charity.
Bob said: “I am sure we all know someone who has been affected by cancer in one way or another. Success rates for various types of cancer have improved over the years, but for certain types success rates are still low. The side effects of surgery, radiotherapy, chemo and other current treatments can be very severe and long lasting in some cases. Better methods of detection and treatment can only be found by research.”
Tickets for the evening are €10, which includes two drinks and a €5 donation to the National Centre for Oncological Research. CINEMA https://www.cnio.es Food from the Isla Bonita menu will also be available.
