Around 75 members attended the September Javea U3A monthly Coffee Morning at the Social Centre in the old town.
President Claude Grealy and other members of the committee welcomed U3A members, including a number of new recruits.
Members enjoyed free coffee, tea, soft drinks and a slice of cake as they chatted to friends and were also able to pay for forthcoming travel trips and other events.
Tony Cabban, of Javea Players, also addressed members on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch and talked about a useful mobile phone app available for Javea residents called XabiAlerta. More details about the app will appear on the U3A website in due course.
