THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED
All members are warmly invited to join us for this special event on Wednesday 30th April at Salones Carrasco to mark the start of our celebrations for our 20th anniversary as an Association.
We’re delighted to welcome back many of the original founders and early Committee Members – the visionary pioneers who brought the spirit of the UK-based University of the Third Age to the English-speaking community here in Jávea and surrounding areas. This is your chance to meet them and hear their stories of how it all began.
What to Expect:
Welcome by Claude Grealy, President
‘How it all began’ by Mike Frost, Founder Member
‘Madeline’ by Lindsay Johnson
‘A place in the sun’ by Caroline Drewett-Mansell, Gary Johnson and James Ward
‘Drinking beer’ by Duncan Robson and Lena Elster
‘Popular music’ by Bobby Valentine and Peter Allin
President’s closing remarks
Tapas and Cava
Please note: Bookings are essential and a small charge will apply to confirm attendance.
Let’s kick off our 20th anniversary year in true U3A Jávea style – with fun, food, music, memories, and good company!
