Last Tuesday over 60 Travellers Tales members gathered for the first meeting of the New Year at the Javea Players Studio, chatting over a welcome glass of cava and nibbles. The group leader, Angela Chantry, then gave a presentation on her recent trip to Hanoi and Laos with her daughter, Becky – a busy and packed tour, but hugely interesting with amazing scenery. The highlight of the tour was no doubt spending 3 days over New Year’s Eve on the beautiful ship, the Dragon Legend II, with a lot of food, fun, dancing, cava and fireworks to celebrate the arrival of 2026. Angela thanked Wendy & John Ranger, Ally O’Brien and Martin Connelly for their help in setting up the Studio, and a special thank you to Wendy for taking the photo of the meeting.
The next TT meeting will take place on Tuesday 3rd February, when Diana Jarvis will give a presentation on her trip to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Venue: The Javea Players Studio, parking in Mercadona in the old town. Doors open at 10.30 hrs with the meeting commencing at 11.00 hrs and lasting approximately 1 hour. There will be a collection of 2 euros pp on entry which goes towards the cost of room hire.
