A treat for Travellers’ Tales members!

At the TT meeting on Tuesday, held in the Javea Players’ Studio, Alan Hunton took the 53 members present on a fascinating journey through mainland Malaysia. Alan explained that the country of Malaysia is two separate areas of land known as Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia, and the two regions are separated by the South China Sea, by about 400 miles. Alan and Bronwyn had decided to focus their tour on the mainland, to give them more opportunity to get to know the region better; starting in Kuala Lumpur and travelling to Taman Negara, Cameron Highlands, Penang and finishing with 5 nights of relaxation in beautiful Langkawi.

Alan presented a wonderful array of photos, featuring wildlife, fauna & flora, inquisitive monkeys, a rather friendly tiger!, historic buildings, colourful Buddha statues, fabulous beach, and great accommodation, and many tall trees (of which Alan has extensive knowledge) for which Bronwyn provided the perspective for his photos!

The audience gave Alan a warm round of applause for his very interesting presentation. Angela also thanked Wendy Ranger, who manned the door, took the photographs during the meeting, and also helped Angela and Ally O’Brien to set out the chairs.
