Rafalet and Las Laderas
Report and Photos by Wendy Ranger
It was a lovely sunny day for our walk this week, a nice ramble along the paths and back roads of Rafalet and Las Laderas. You will see from the photos that at one point our path had disappeared under some recently dumped earth, apparently the new owner of the land has decided he doesn’t want people using the well established path any more! Once this was negotiated, it was a great walk through the woods with good company – thank you Ally for leading us Xx
Next week’s walk
Pinomar and Val de Sol
Walk Description: This is a walk which will take us around the Pinomar and Val de Sol areas, through woodland and providing wonderful views north towards the Montgo and the coast. Also we will walk through the area which was devastated by the massive fire of 2016, showing the way nature has revived the land.
The terrain is a combination of good tracks, well trodden footpaths and normal roads. It is stressed that this is a more strenuous walk than normal, of sloping terrain, with some short sharp inclines and one tricky descent. Sturdy footwear and a walking stick is recommended. The walk will take 1½hours plus stops. Leader – Wendy
