SC&C day trip – Vermouth Workshop & Lunch (traditional Valencian cuisine in a 15th century farmhouse)

Friday 28th February 2025

Learn about the origin and history of authentic Valencian Vermouth, the oldest aperitif in existence, made since 1904 in Valencia by the Valsangiacomo family. You will be able to make your own artisanal Vermouth and taste this typical Valencian drink.

After leaving Javea we will travel to Huerto Ribera and have a guided walk through the gardens and Art Nouveau house, which dates from 1870 (1 hr).

We will then have a tasting of natural juice, homemade jams, orange blossom honey & Valencian liqueurs, before experiencing the Vermouth Workshop, where we will learn about the origin and history of authentic Valencian Vermouth, make our own artisanal Vermouth and taste this typical Valencian drink.

At the end of our visit to Huerto Ribera, we will reboard our coach and travel to Molí Canyar, a charming restaurant located on the ground floor of an old restored 15th century mill. Rustic decoration that combines with fine wood and thick stone walls, arches and other elements that make it special where you can absorb its 500 years of history.   It still preserves the machinery intact, which can be visited by guests.  The majestic and elegant entrance, the columns, the old mill machinery, the pond, as well as careful lighting, beautiful gardens and fountains, combine to provide a wonderful place to dine.

After lunch we will reboard our coach for the journey back to Javea.
