Traveller’s tales of sex and the sea

Sex was very much on the agenda at the latest (October) meeting of the U3A’s Travellers’ Tales meeting.

Speaker Gillian Ashworth entertained her audience in the Javea Players Studio with a personal insight into her Scuba diving experiences with a presentation entitled ‘Fishy Tales from Around the World’.

She illustrated her talk with some colourful pictures of her underwater adventures – and revealed fascinating details of sea creatures’ sex lives …. much to the delight of those in attendance!

Gillian explained that she took up Scuba diving while living in Singapore in 1984 and enjoyed hundreds of dives around the world including the Maldives, Mauritius, Malaysia, Mozambique, Thailand, Borneo, the Philippines, Tanzania, Indonesia, the Galapagos Islands, Belize, Guatemala and, of course, the Great Barrier Reef off the Australian coast.

Gillian and husband Hugh later revealed that they are still enjoying their underwater adventures, having enjoyed their most recent dives only 8 months ago!

It was a wonderful presentation and another excellent meeting organised by Travellers’ Tales group leaders Angela Chantry and Tony Dearie.
