Aims and Objectives
The U3A Jávea is an association for English speaking people of any nationality, who are no longer in full time work, to provide opportunities to socialise, learn and share knowledge and skills with others.
Learning is for fun and does not lead to a qualification. Many of our activities are also simply social with the aim of fostering a sense of community.
The association meets every month on the last Wednesday (except July, August and December) at various locations in Javea. The details for each meeting are posted on the website and notified to members by email.
Some of these meetings are more formal, with reports from the Committee and a presentation by a speaker, these will be in March, June and October. The March meeting is always the Annual General Meeting. Other meetings will be social such as a coffee morning or light lunch hosted by the Committee.
Other activities of the U3A take place in groups which are arranged by each group leader either on a regular basis or as events and trips throughout the year.
Once you are member you may apply to join any group(s) that you are interested in. If they are fully subscribed the group leader will tell you and say whether there is a waiting list.
