Around 50 Travellers Tales members enjoyed sherry and mince pies at the last meeting for the year, after which the group leader, Angela Chantry, gave a presentation on Discovering More of Portugal. Dear Member, 2025 has been another good year for U3A Javea. We celebrated our 20th anniversary with many of our Past Presidents, who have seen the organisation grow to around 1,200 members and over 45 Groups – hard to keep track of the exact numbers now! This morning, the Javea U3A History Group enjoyed the second of their two visits to the Soler Blasco Archaeological Museum, right in the heart of Javea’s Old Town. I am hoping to organise a day trip to see this new exhibition taking place at the Bombas Gens Centre d’Arts Digitals in Valencia. The exhibition opens on the 27th February but visiting dates/times have not yet been published. I would be looking for a date towards the end of March/early April, and advance booking would be necessary as it will be popular. 145 Members enjoyed our Pre-Christmas Bash at Salones Carrasco last Thursday. Everybody dressed the part for Christmas and seemed in high spirits.
