On Saturday 28 May our President Claude Grealy met with Mike Cox to present him with a gift of cash following his retirement from the Committee after 14 years service.
The gift included an amount for his wife Valerie Cox, who has also just retired as a Group Leader after 8 years service.
We will miss their contribution to the U3A Javea but wish them both well in their ‘retirement’. Mike thanked the Committee and members for the gift and said it will go towards a weekend away in Spain, which is the second trip they plan this year after they return from a holiday in Canada.
