The role of the Election Auditor is to assist the Secretary in the smooth conduct of the Election and Voting Process at the AGM.
The Election Auditor will receive any nominations for members to Executive Committee posts.
They will also receive all online Proxy Nomination forms for members who are unable to attend the AGM and wish to be represented. Where the nomination is for the President to represent a member, a summary of the number of Proxies and any votes cast will be provided at the AGM to be included in the votes taken at the meeting.
The Auditor will be responsible, along with the Secretary, for assessing whether any show of votes is a majority for or against a proposal.
Where the assessment is a close call they may decide to physically count the votes cast to identify the outcome.
