The Javea U3A Dine & Dance Group is run by David and Anne Watts as an informal and friendly group that meet every 4/6 weeks.
The objective is to get U3A members socialising together at a local restaurant to enjoy the cuisine and dance to a variety of music provided by a selection of known DJ’s.
Dine & Dance Group dates, venues, costs and menu selection choices are issued in advance via email with a copy posted on the U3A Javea website. Payment is expected on the night in cash. (Except for Christmas Parties). Prices are dependent upon the venue selected as some restaurants are more expensive than others.
As places are sometimes limited and we have many members wishing to attend, places will allocated on “a first come first served” basis to the announcement email issued.

The Dine & Dance Group is back in business – with 56 members enjoying an historic comeback after pandemic restrictions outside on the terrace at Javea Golf Club on Friday September 3. More than 80 members enjoyed the Javea U3A Dine & Dance Group’s Christmas Party at Salones Carrasco. It was a tribute to the hard work put in by group leaders David and Anne Watts, who unfortunately could not be there because of a family emergency back in the UK. Congratulations to Linda Coughlin, Alan Guest, Jean and Tom Miller for stepping in to deputise. Music was provided by the excellent Mat Mason.

Group leader David Watts got a surprise at the latest Dine & Dance evening at Le Gourmand restaurant ,,,, a cracking candle with his dessert to celebrate his birthday! It was a fitting finale to a sparkling evening of great food, music and dance, enjoyed by 70 U3A members. Thanks to both David and wife Anne for organising the event.

They feasted on a three-course meal before dancing the night away to the music of Steve Solo. Thanks to group leaders Anne and David Watts for organising yet another fun-filled event.
