The Jávea U3A is an association for English speaking people who are no longer in full time work to provide opportunities to learn and to share knowledge and skills with others.
Learning is for fun and does not lead to a qualification. Many of our activities are also simply social with the aim of fostering a sense of community.
The association meets 3 times each year, in March for an AGM, June and October on the last Wednesday at the Parador Hotel, Javea from 9:30 to 12:30 when there is an opportunity (up to 10:45) to meet and make new friends.
The main meeting starts at 11.00 and there is usually a guest speaker. The meeting ends about 12:30.
The main activities of the U3A take place in groups which are arranged by each group either on a regular basis or as events and trips throughout the year.
Once you are member you apply to join groups that you are interested in, if they are fully subscribed the leader will tell you and say whether there is a waiting list.
