This month Penny Grant presented us all with a great selection of white wines from Rueda and interesting reds from Ribero del Duero.
Penny started with a Blume white Verdejo selection, which was fresh and aromatic. The following white Marques de Riscal 100% Verdejo was vibrant and fruity.
The red wines from Ribero del Duero followed, starting with the Dehesas Viejas Crianza 100% Tempranillo, a dark fruity red. We then enjoyed another Tempranillo, a Valderiviero Roble which was smooth and balanced.
The final wine was a great change to the normality as it was an excellent pairing with the selection of cheese and grapes. It was a delicious white wine Nicte Verdejo, a crisp, medium bodied, enjoyable wine, a favourite of many.
The wines were accompanied with a great selection of dishes prepared by Elizabeth and her team.
After our meal we all raised a glass and bid farewell to Yvonne Gray as it was her last Thursday WAGS before she leaves Spain. We wished her well and hopefully we’ll see her again in Jávea soon 
The afternoon concluded with the usual raffle and 5 happy winners walked away with their favourite wines of the day.
