Mountains, Miracles & Memories. From Zaragoza to Lourdes: An Unforgettable Journey

U3A Moraira Travel Group are pleased to offer U3A Javea members a 7-day guided tour through northern Spain and southern France from 21 – 27 September 2026. This journey through the Pyrenees highlights cultural, spiritual, and historic sites at a relaxed pace.
Below is the full schedule for our journey:

Tour Schedule and Destinations

Day 1 (21 Sept): Depart from Moraira for Zaragoza. Includes a guided tour of the historic centre, including La Lonja, the Tapestry Museum, Aljafería Palace, and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar.
Day 2 (22 Sept): Travel from Zaragoza to Lourdes. The afternoon is free to explore the town, with an optional evening candlelight procession.
Day 3 (23 Sept): A morning guided tour of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes and the House of Saint Bernadette. The afternoon features an excursion to Donjon des Aigles.
Day 4 (24 Sept): Ascend the Pic du Jer via funicular for mountain views before continuing to the spa town of Bagnères-de-Luchon.
Day 5 (25 Sept): A leisure day in Bagnères-de-Luchon to visit the Cité des Abeilles or enjoy local thermal baths and Belle Époque architecture.
Day 6 (26 Sept): Return journey toward Spain, arriving in the riverside town of Tortosa for an afternoon of exploration.
Day 7 (27 Sept): Departure from Tortosa back to Moraira.

Pricing and Bookings
The price is 978 Euros per person (single supplement 260 Euros) with a 100 Euro deposit.
This includes coach travel, a tour leader, 3-star hotel accommodation, specified meals (with wine and water), and all listed entrance fees and guided tours.
Please note a minimum of 36 participants is required. Early booking is encouraged.
