Almost 50 people gathered together in the comfortable surroundings of the Dutch NCJ Club. The group leader, Marc van Praet selected a range of familiar and popular songs that, judging by the many happy faces, had a wide appeal. These included When Irish Eyes are Smiling, You are My Sunshine, Sailing, Waltzing Matilda, Country Roads and many more.
Members of the Dutch choir who were well-versed in these songs supported the new participants by instilling confidence and adding volume. Excellent musical accompaniment was provided by Douglas the accordionist and Emmy the pianist. There were almost two hours of music and singing and Marc’s enthusiasm and leadership was inspiring.
A good time was certainly had by all and we are very much looking forward to the next event which will take place at the same time and same place (Click HERE for the Singalong home page) on Sunday 19th May.
