41 eager quizzers enjoyed the second U3A Quiz Night of 2024. This time the Quiz Masters were Peter and Gill Atkinson who certainly challenged us with a wide variety of questions and brain teasers.
Seemingly, no questions were too tough for two of the seven teams who both achieved a very high score of 89. A tie-breaking question was set asking for the population size of the UK. Both teams gave the same answer in millions and were asked by Peter to be more precise. Finally, the team known as “Clueless” (a misnomer if ever there was one) were announced the winners, with “No Idea” a hair’s breadth behind.

Both teams were equally rewarded for their sterling efforts.
Huge thanks must go to Peter and Gill for keeping everyone on their toes and for taking the time to organise the questions during what is a busy year for them.
