For more than 600 years, Cocentaina has hosted this agricultural and cattle fair. It was first held in 1346 as a regional market. Today it has become established as a major showcase for traditional farming activities, crafts, farm machinery and means of automation. In addition it offers a wide range of cultural attractions, theatrical shows, an Arabic market, a book fair, exhibitions, choral contests, riding and dressage displays, craft workshops, street theatre, birds of prey shows, along with stalls offering local delicacies, traditional roasted meat on spits.
