Day Trip to Tabarca Island

This will be an ideal opportunity to visit Tabarca Island after the busy tourist period has ended and we have cooler temperatures.

It is a perfect day trip as Tabarca combines history, nature and food into one easily walkable destination.

You can comfortably walk across the entire island and see its major landmarks in about 1 to 2 hours at a relaxed pace.

Within a small area it boasts a walled town, a port, a beach, coves, a lighthouse, a defensive tower, a church, restaurants, and perfect spots for snorkeling.

For those who want a lazy day with different scenery, it’s ideal for just a meander and a leisurely lunch.
Upon arrival at Tarbarca the entire afternoon is your own until the boat returns to Santa Pola.

Day trip to Tabarca Island – 10th September 2026

We will leave Javea at approximately 09:00 hrs and will arrive in Santa Pola at about 10:40 hrs.

We will board a glass bottomed catamaran at Santa Pola port and depart for Tabarca. Halfway through the crossing the catamaran stops at a strategic point in the Tabarca Marine Reserve. You can go down to the glass-bottom viewing area and watch the colourful fish all in crystal-clear waters.

The pickup points will be:

Jávea bus station – 08:35 hrs

The bridge on Ave Augusta – 08:50 hrs

We will depart Tabarca port at approximately 16:15 hrs for our ferry crossing back to Santa Pola. There we will board our bus back to Jávea and arrive there at approximately 18:40 hrs.

The cost for the bus and catamaran round trip with gratuities will be €27 per person.

If for any reason you have to cancel, please can you contact the trip leader as soon as you know. If both the bus and boat companies have been paid for, then you will only receive a refund if there are people on the waiting list, or we can find someone to take your place.
