Day Trip to Valencia Bioparc Safari Park

Dear U3A members,

We are offering a day-trip to the Valencia Bioparc on Sunday October 11th.

The 10 hectare park features over 6,000 animals representing more than 150 African species in three lush, naturalistic habitats. 

The Savannah: grasslands with giraffes, rhinos, zebras, and antelopes ,lions and hyenas 

Equatorial Forests & Madagascar: jungle habitats with gorilla and chimpanzee families, leopards, and free-roaming lemurs. 

Kitum Cave: a unique underwater viewing area to watch hippos and sea life swim.

There are free talks and feeding times on offer as well as a virtual reality cinema which shows an underwater marine life movie in English with VR headsets for a 5e charge.

The Bioparc entrance price for over 65s is 20e and the return bus fare is 16e.

The bus will depart from the school on Via Augusta at 9.45am and from the bus station at 10am. We will depart from the Bioparc at 16.30. 

The Bioparc has a restaurant with a Menu del Dia and across the road there is the Campanar shopping centre and some more small restaurants. Bioparc Valencia

2.5km from the Bioparc there is a large shopping centre which is an optional activity NuevoCentro

Both shopping centers (Campanar and NuevoCentro) are open on a Sunday.
