On the last Friday of the month, May 29th, we will discuss and learn about the politics of energy that affect our lives and all areas of modern society, focusing on Spain, the EU, and the UK.
We will explore the following energy distribution and the impact of geopolitical turmoil on energy supply, examining the Strait of Hormuz, the Suez Canal, the Bab al Mandab (Red Sea), and grid instability.
Another important part will be energy generation and the transition from fossil fuels. We will take a look at Spain’s investments in renewables.
In the third part of the discussion, we will elaborate on energy consumption and emerging technologies, such as LEDs, electric vehicles, and data centres.
In general, the topic is very wide and very important to touch upon on all the challenges and problems in a couple of hours, but it will help better understand the courses and effects from a geopolitical to energy-specific point of view
