Following on from our Groups Fair in Carrasco’s, which the Alcaldesa Rosa Cardona, and the Councillor for the Third Age, Social Services and Extranjeros Residente Raquel Violero attended, the Mayor invited our members to “A coffee with your Mayor” in the SH Hotel in the Port.
The Mayor did a Powerpoint Presentation (in both Castellano and English) on (1) Public Safety, (2) Fire Prevention, (3) Healthcare, (4) Environment, (5) Tourism, (6) Sports, (7) Social Housing, (8) Childhood, (9) Senior Citizens, (10) Culture and (11) Services.

After the presentation, she invited any questions from the floor. Some of our members even asked their questions in Spanish! Enhorabuena!
The Alcaldesa was generous with her time, and filled the full two hour slot that had been allocated for the event. Unfortunately at the two hour mark the meeting had to be brought to a close. Tapas and refreshments were served on the Terrace afterwards, and the Alcaldesa and her team remained to chat.
