An evening excursion to see the flamenco dancer, Karime Amaya, at the Teatre Talia in Valencia

This trip proved to be exceptionally popular and is now fully booked. Sorry! names will be taken for a reserve list in case of cancellations nearer the time.

Karime Amaya is the great-niece of the greatest and most revered universal flamenco dancer of all time, Carmen Amaya, and without a doubt the legacy of La Capitana (as she was nicknamed)runs in her blood. Many members may well remember the presentations given by Angela on “Carmen Amaya” and flamenco today is deeply indebted to Carmen – through her artistry and virtuosity she effectively altered the history of flamenco dance forever.

We now have the opportunity to watch a performance by Karime Amaya at the Teatre Talia – a lovely little theatre located within 5 minutes’ walk of bars and restaurants, close to the Cathedral. There will be free time for members to have a glass of wine or two with tapas before the show commences or to stroll around the cathedral area, beautifully lit up at night.
