There was a special get-together at the latest History Group meeting – with group leaders past, present and future all appearing at the Casa de Cultura in the old town.

Peter followed the photoshoot with an excellent presentation entitled ‘Inquisition and Empire: Spain to the 16trh-18th Centuries’ – Part 3 of the History of Spain series. His lecture began in 1474 with Isabella and Fernando II and continued with his usual well-researched detail through the Spanish Inquisition, Spanish Empire and Spanish Armada to the War of the Spanish Succession and the reign of Carlos IV from 1788 to 1808.
There was a thankyou presentation from Angela and Tony …. before Cheda stepped up to reward them both for all their hard work.
