DO NOT select a Category if you do not know it\u2019s purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Featured Image<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To facilitate finding the image in future, include a description of the image in the file name or edit the WordPress Media Library entry to include a description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Post about an Event<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n When the post is a reminder or update about an event, the body of the post can include just a short summary of the event and a link to the event for more details. Alternatively, it is possible to copy all the WordPress blocks of the event description and paste this into the body of the post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Updating a Post<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n When a post needs to be updated e.g. from \u201cPlaces available\u201d to \u201cNearly Sold Out\u201d the original post should be duplicated. The duplicate post should be updated and published and the original sent to the Bin. If no category is added to the post (category = Uncategorised<\/em>) the Post will be published on the website but will not be linked in to any pages.<\/td><\/tr>Category<\/strong><\/td> For group events add the category Group \u2013 groupname <\/em>if available, for a summary of the Event to appear on the Group Page. Contact the webmaster if no category is available.
For the Event to appear in the Bookable section of the Home page, add the category Bookable<\/em>.
If the category Mailpoet Now \u2013 Travel <\/em>is added to the event, the event will be included in an immediate U3A Javea Travel<\/strong> newsletter.
If the category Mailpoet Now \u2013 Non Travel <\/em>is added to the event, the event will be included in an immediate Announcing a U3A J\u00e1vea event<\/strong> newsletter.
Do not use any of the categories starting XX<\/em>. These are now redundant and will be deleted in due course.<\/td>Add the category Mailpoet – Newsletter Weekly <\/em>for the post to be included in the next weekly newsletter.
If the Category Home \u2013 News <\/em>is added, the post will be displayed in the post list in the News section of the Home page.
If the Category Group \u2013 groupname<\/em> is added, where groupname<\/em>is the name of your Group e.g. Group – Travellers Tales<\/em>, the post will be included in a posts list on the Group page if a list exists. If no list exists this Category serves no purpose.
