{"id":32683,"date":"2024-05-30T10:06:34","date_gmt":"2024-05-30T08:06:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/u3ajavea.com\/info\/?p=32683"},"modified":"2025-03-31T19:17:27","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T17:17:27","slug":"the-shutterbugs-in-black-and-white","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u3ajavea.com\/info\/the-shutterbugs-in-black-and-white\/","title":{"rendered":"The Shutterbugs in black and white"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/u3ajavea.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/debbie-bw2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-32680\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Shutterbugs\u00a0Photography Group<\/strong>\u00a0met last Friday 24th May.\u00a0 The commitment of our members was fantastic with 12 entrants for the \u201cBlack and White\u201d project presenting 24 photographs for critique.\u00a0\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, the standard was really high but there was one photograph which stood out and won the&nbsp;<strong>Picture of the Month.<\/strong>&nbsp; The winner was&nbsp;<strong>Debbie Wenn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a superb capture of a man whittling away in his workshop.&nbsp; It begs the question:&nbsp;What is he making?&nbsp;A pipe? A whistle? A spoon?&nbsp; This is what photography is all about:&nbsp;telling a story.&nbsp; Congratulations Debbie!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project for June is \u201cLines\u201d. When composing a photograph, we use lines to draw the viewer\u2019s eyes to objects that we want them to see: a path leading to a distant tree or a bowl of fruit on a table: the options are endless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shutterbugs membership continues to grow and now sits at 16 with a further member joining us in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If, having read this short report, you would like more details of what we do or you would like to join the Group, please contact the Group Leaders, Mal Thomas and Colin Ruddle on <a href=\"mailto:shutterbugs@u3ajavea.com\">shutterbugs@u3ajavea.com<\/a>.
