The Travel team has a new leader – and she is raring to go with a day trip to Valencia planned for November.
Amanda Jordan, pictured, succeeds retiring group leader Dave Butt.
She is planning to organise some trips with the help of Groups Coordinator Mike Frost, whose experience will be invaluable as he was one of Javea U3A’s first Travel Group leaders.
Amanda’s first venture will be a day trip to Valencia. You will be free to go shopping or perhaps a visit to the Biopark Zoo or the Arts and Science Park.
The trip is on Friday November 12. The coach will leave from across the road from Interiors in the Port at 9am prompt and, as the rules stand at present, you will be required to wear a mask on the coach. The coach is expected to arrive back in Javea at about 5.30pm.
Cost of the trip will be just 10 euros per person.

Payment will be collected at the U3A October general meeting at the Parador hotel, either in the garden or in the meeting room.
