The E-Bike group’s third ride

The Javea U3A E-Bike group held its third ride on Tuesday December 4th, on what turned out to a dry and sunny day for a great day for riding.

The group has already attracted a total of 18 members and 6 of them joined the outing at Cafe Cortado in El port Javea. Group leader philip Gauron welcomed Joni, Ellis, Bill, Harry, Graham, at 10.00 for a 10.15 am push off.One of the groups objectives is to ride on minor roads and off road tracks wherever possible and this ride achieved this. Where we then headed towards Jesus Pobre a lovely town, through minor roads and lanes and cycle tracks

We stopped at La Rana an irrigation system and where washing took place, picture attached, a few of the riders decided to take a few  layers off, as it was getting quiet  warm, I was not sure if they were going to try the washing facilities out ?

We stopped for a coffee or something stronger and a chat at Jesus Pobre.

We descended out of Jesus Pobre and following the railway track and crossing the railway junction, making sure we avoided the Flying Scotsman and then on to El Verger using minor roads and cycle tracks.

We arrived in EL Verger and headed towards a lovely cafe for drinks and lunch and relaxed and put the world to rights, but we run out of time ?

After our stop we returned the same way to the bottom of Jesus Pobre and using a different route back which would lead us to EL Paso and then on to Javea.

Everybody enjoyed the ride, having covered 53 km.
