Javea U3A President Mike Cox has presented his predecessor, Val Dromgoole, with retirement gifts in appreciation of her time on the executive committee.
Val retired from her role last year after serving two years as President, but it has not been possible because of Covid-19 restrictions to carry out a formal presentation at a general meeting in front of members.
So Mike delivered thank-you gifts of a restaurant voucher, plant and a case of her favourite tipple (Croft original sherry!) to Val’s home.
Val has made a valuable contribution to the running of the U3A Javea association over the years, serving as President, Secretary and Deputy Secretary.
