SC&C visit to an olive farm

Forty-nine members of Javea U3A’s Spanish Culture & Cuisine group learned all about olive oil production on a day trip to family-run business Senorios de Relleu, situated in beautiful countryside just 7km from the coastal town of Villajoyosa.

The group was given a guided tour of the business, housed in a 100-year-old mansion house surrounded by 1,500 olive trees, before sampling a range of quality extra-virgin olive oils.

Then they enjoyed a typical Spanish lunch at the Font del Moli restaurant in Finestrat – a just reward after a strenuous uphill walk from the coach!
