Travellers’ Tales presentation by Peter Atkinson: Outdoor Art in Spain 25th Feb 2020

Members of Angela and Tony’s Travellers’ Tales group filled to capacity the Javea Players Studio for a presentation by Peter Atkinson: “Architecture, Sculptures and Murals: One Man’s Journey through the Streets, Plazas and Parks of Spain, in Search of Outdoor Art.”

Peter sifted through his collection of 20 thousand pictures, taken during two decades of travel around Spain, in search of the best pictures to illustrate outdoor art in Spain.

Peter’s presentation, starting close to home in Javea, took us for a humorous and informative journey all around the country, ranging from historical buildings to graffiti, from twisted metal sculptures, to quirky compositions made with broken tiles.

Peter’s observations proved that, even though we may walk past a place every day, we still manage to overlook some significant work of art – of which he gave an ample sample in his presentation.

The high quality of Peter’s photos greatly added to our enjoyment of his culture and travel presentation.
