Quiz Night is back
Following an enforced break of 21 months, the first post-pandemic event will be held on Tuesday, November 16. We shall continue to meet at the Jávea Golf Club and the format will be unchanged.
When checking in, people will be randomly assigned to tables of six. Couples won’t be separated (unless they would like to be) and singles are very welcome. The quiz will be divided into halves, separated by a light dinner; drinks will be available throughout the evening.
You must be wearing a mask when you enter the venue and you should keep it on until you are seated. Proceed to your table as expeditiously as possible, maintaining the usual social distancing en route. Your mask must be put back on, when and if, it is necessary for you to leave the table. (You won’t be required to put your hand up.)
The price will be €18, which is one euro more than pre-pandemic. Dinner is made up of a couple of nibbles, a main course and dessert, bread and alioli, water, and half a bottle of wine (or beer or a soft drink); a tip is included. Menu choices will be available nearer the time.
On this occasion, our quizmaster will be Alan Oliver. He will start promptly at 7:30 so please arrive with time to spare – by 7:15 at the latest. And try to bring the right combination of notes and coins.
