Quiz Group retiring leaders David and Hilary Grove oversaw a close contest when they hosted their final session at Javea Golf Club before handing over the reins to their successors Peter and Gill Atkinson.
Two teams tied for the top honours – and there wasn’t much between the other six teams either.
In the end, the two winning teams – ‘Santa’s Elves’ and ‘Don’t Mention Brexit’ – shared first prize, each member taking home a bottle of wine as their reward.
After the competition, Peter thanked the outgoing leaders for doing such a great job in organising the quizzes over the last four years and announced that he would be arranging the next quiz in February on a date to be arranged. Watch this space for details.
